Col 3:1-4
"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
The Colossian ethic is based on ontology: you have been raised with Christ, therefore seek the things above. The Christian life is 'hidden with Christ in God' — the believer’s true identity is not visible to the world but will be revealed at the parousia.
Col 3:11
"Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all."
The new humanity in Christ transcends all ethnic, religious, cultural, and social divisions. 'Christ is all, and in all' (ta panta kai en pasin Christos) — the Christian identity surpasses all other identities.
