The Fifth and Sixth Trumpets

"And in those days people will seek death and will not find it."

Revelation 9 describes the most terrifying trumpets — the locusts from the abyss and the armies of demonic cavalry.

🦂 The Fifth Trumpet (9:1-12)

Rev 9:3-6

"And from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. And they were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads."

The locusts from the abyss: hybrid creatures that torment but do not kill. They affect only those who do not have the seal of God — the sealed (ch. 7) are protected. The torment is so intense that people desire death but cannot find it — death flees from them.
